Zamir Warns Lebanon at Beaufort That IDF Can Resume Offensive
IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir on July 5 toured Beaufort Ridge in southern Lebanon with Northern Command and 36th Division commanders, including underground Hezbollah tunnel routes beneath the ridge. Zamir said the strategic area is saturated with terror infrastructure built by Hezbollah with Iranian financing and direction to threaten northern communities, while IDF forces control key ground above and the routes below. He said the Lebanese army must fulfill the historic agreement by clearing Hezbollah terrorists and infrastructure, and that any threat to Israeli forces or northern communities will be attacked immediately. Israel should enforce the Lebanon framework from strength, with diplomacy backed by fast IDF action against violations.
