Likud Says Netanyahu Will File NIS 500,000 Defamation Suit Against Yoav Horowitz

Likud announced on Thursday evening that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu intends to bring a defamation lawsuit against Yoav Horowitz, an associate of Gadi Eisenkot. The party put the intended claim at NIS 500,000, or half a million shekels. Likud said the planned action concerns remarks Horowitz made earlier that day, which it characterized as false and inciting. The announcement set out Netanyahu's intention to sue; it did not announce that a lawsuit had already been filed or that a court had reached a finding.
