U.S. Strike Near Tabriz Kills at Least One, Iran Says

U.S. strikes killed at least one person around Tabriz in northwestern Iran on Monday morning, according to Iranian state media. Tabriz, about 520 kilometers northwest of Tehran, is believed to host underground missile bases operated by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. The attack came during a ninth consecutive day of U.S. strikes, which Central Command said were aimed at degrading Iran's ability to attack commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz. Reporting also placed explosions in Tabriz and several southern Iranian cities; no independent casualty verification was immediately available.
