Herzog Presents Civilian Heroism Awards to Six Flydubai Passengers

President Isaac Herzog presented the Presidential Award for Civilian Heroism to six passengers from the September 30 Dubai-to-Tel Aviv flight at his residence in Jerusalem on October 8. The recipients were Tali Manes, Zvika Manes, Yaniv Hayoun, Dr. Shota Musayev, Asaf Rajuan and Or Pardilov. Herzog said their courage, determination and presence of mind prevented a devastating aviation disaster and saved 174 lives during the terrorist attack. He also announced that Captain Smit Machchhar of India would receive the same award once he recovers from his injuries; the captain has not yet received it.
