Herzog Calls for Impartial October 7 Investigation at Mount Herzl Ceremony

President Isaac Herzog called for a determined, courageous and impartial investigation into the October 7 Hamas massacre at Monday's state remembrance ceremony at Mount Herzl in Jerusalem. He said the passage of time did not erase the obligation to investigate how the attack happened. Recalling the Nahal Oz lookout soldiers' warnings, Herzog said their reports had not been assembled into a complete picture and stressed the need to heed warning signs. During the election campaign, he warned against deepening divisions, saying political opponents and their children would continue to share the same country.
